With its website, the German Society of Nuclear Medicine (DGN) addresses people seeking up-to-date, factually sound yet comprehensible information on the broad range of topics in nuclear medicine.
The DGN was supported in creating the portal by its scientific working groups and experts: All texts were written or reviewed by nuclear medicine experts. Nevertheless, it must be pointed out that the Internet portal cannot replace the individual assessment and recommendation of a physician. It can only provide users with guidance and make them informed partners of their physicians.
On the other hand, this website provides up-to-date information for nuclear medicine physicians and physicians from other specialties (guidelines, procedural instructions, consensus papers).
